The Hemp Fund Invests in Hemp and Cannabis-Related Companies

Hemp advocates are defined as individuals or groups who support legalization of Hemp products. Hemp has numerous applications; food, clothing and fuel being just three of them. Furthermore, Hemp can help reduce seizures associated with epilepsy, anxiety and depression and even alleviate symptoms caused by PTSD and chronic pain – not forgetting its use for making cars, buildings and other products!

The Hemp Fund provides financial support for local and state cannabis programs while simultaneously building a community of leaders to advocate on behalf of hemp and cannabis at a national level. This community includes elected officials, community leaders, business owners and other influencers who advocate on its behalf. Already the Hemp Fund has made several notable investments into hemp- and cannabis-related companies like VapeXhale for CBD sales as well as Hempco Brands which distributes their own line of CBD-infused products.

The Hemp Fund is seeking investments in companies developing innovative hemp-based products that can compete with traditional petroleum and industrial products, while increasing female and minority representation within the hemp industry. Applications from businesses within this space that meet certain criteria will also be accepted.

Cannabis Law PA’s founding partner, Cassel, provides transactional and regulatory legal counsel to cannabis growers, processors, dispensaries, investors, patients and practitioners throughout Pennsylvania and nationwide. She possesses expertise negotiating mergers and acquisitions as well as refinancing companies within highly regulated industries.

Her clients in the marijuana and hemp industries range from large-scale producers to niche companies, retailers, processors and investors. She has represented both publicly-traded and privately held entities seeking investment opportunities within this sector.

Although hemp remains legally permitted, its industry still faces obstacles from groups who haven’t caught up with current social and economic realities. For example, some operators who produce and sell CBD products derived from hemp may not adhere to the stringent health and safety standards established for marijuana production; these “bad actors” need to be called out just like they are in marijuana cultivation.

Hemp advocates are advocating for laws to expand access to this superfood for all Americans. Furthermore, they aim to see hemp products sold in every store and supermarket nationwide. Hemp is a non-psychotropic plant like marijuana that serves as an excellent source of nutrition – providing protein, fiber and essential fatty acids; plus being environmentally-friendly!

The United States is the world’s top producer and consumer of hemp, with demand steadily increasing year over year. According to estimates by the Department of Agriculture, total market value will reach $24 billion by 2023. Hemp can be an important source of employment and economic development within rural communities – although in some states it remains banned altogether and many individuals don’t understand what its uses or limitations may be.
